The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India – Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (CREDAI-MCHI) has welcomed the Maharashtra Cabinet’s approval of the ambitious ‘Majhe Ghar – Majhe Adhikar’ housing policy, calling it a transformative step towards ensuring housing for all.

Applauding the government’s vision, Domnic Romell, President of CREDAI-MCHI, issued the following statement:

“We welcome and wholeheartedly applaud the Maharashtra Cabinet’s approval of the landmark ‘Majhe Ghar – Majhe Adhikar’ housing policy under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji. With an unprecedented outlay of Rs 70,000 crore and a target of delivering 35 lakh homes across the state, this policy is a bold and transformative step towards Housing for All.

It reflects the government’s deep commitment to inclusive urban development and addresses the pressing need for affordable, accessible, and dignified housing across income groups. CREDAI-MCHI congratulates the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Ministers, the Housing Department, and all stakeholders involved for laying the foundation for a truly progressive and people-centric housing framework. We stand ready to partner in realising this ambitious vision and accelerating its implementation on the ground.”

The policy aims to provide 35 lakh homes across Maharashtra with a record allocation of Rs 70,000 crore. It is expected to significantly boost affordable housing supply and catalyse infrastructure-led growth in urban and semi-urban areas.

With CREDAI-MCHI expressing strong support and readiness to collaborate, the real estate industry is poised to play a critical role in translating this vision into reality. The initiative is also a strategic step in strengthening the state’s economic and social development by promoting inclusive housing access for all income groups.
