Western Railway Schedules Night Block Between Bhayandar and Borivali On May 24–25

The Western Railway (WR) has announced a scheduled night block between Bhayandar and Borivali stations during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, 24–25 May 2025, to facilitate essential maintenance work.

As per WR’s Mumbai suburban train update, the block is vital for infrastructure upkeep, including track repairs, signal system enhancements, and overhead equipment maintenance.

Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, stated that the “Jumbo Block” will be implemented from 11:30 pm to 3:00 am on the UP fast line and from 1:15 am to 4:45 am on the Down fast line. During this period, all fast locals will be diverted to the UP slow line between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali. Consequently, certain services will be cancelled. Passengers are urged to verify train timings and service updates at their respective stations’ Station Master’s offices.

WR has also confirmed that there will be no day block on Sunday, 25 May 2025, ensuring smooth operations of suburban services during the daytime.

In addition, to cater to the summer travel demand, WR will operate two summer special trains.
