The collapse of a section of a building slab at Mumbai’s Shivajinagar BEST bus depot has renewed concerns about the condition and maintenance of ageing public transport infrastructure across the city. The incident occurred within the depot premises while around 25 employees were carrying out routine work. According to staff members and officials, workers noticed signs of possible structural failure shortly before the collapse.
