Mira-Bhayandar is witnessing increased commercial activity, with more than 30 premium retail, hospitality and food and beverage brands establishing operations in the suburb since economic activity resumed after the pandemic. The expansion reflects growing investor confidence, supported by improving infrastructure, residential development and rising consumer spending across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
Several organised retail brands have entered the market, including Raymond Shop, Van Heusen, Woodland, Spykar, Mufti, Globus, Manyavar, Saheli Saree and Ashika Fashion. The food and beverage segment has also expanded with the arrival of outlets such as Starbucks, KFC, Burger King and Good Flippin’ Burgers.
The lifestyle retail segment has strengthened with brands including Tanishq, Fashion Factory, Hush Puppies, Jockey, Titan Eye Plus, Max Fashion, Decathlon and Nike opening stores in the locality. Hospitality offerings have also grown with developments such as Seven Eleven Club, The Oaks Lounge & Bar, Fisco Pool Side and Urban Dhaba. In addition, Mira-Bhayandar is expected to welcome its first five-star Radisson hotel, marking another milestone in the area’s hospitality sector.
The company stated that brands such as The Sleep Company, GIVA and Blue Tokai are expected to begin operations at Ventura by the end of 2026, further expanding the organised retail ecosystem.
The commercial growth coincides with major infrastructure projects, including Mumbai Metro Line 9, improved road connectivity and sustained residential expansion. These developments have contributed to increasing demand from homebuyers and businesses while supporting higher consumer spending in the micro-market.
According to market estimates cited by the company, residential property prices in Mira-Bhayandar have been appreciating by around 12–15% annually. The company said relatively affordable housing, compared with South and Central Mumbai, along with improving lifestyle infrastructure, has attracted first-time premium homebuyers and young professionals.
Commenting on the market, Purvesh Sarnaik, Director of Vihang Ahead, said, “Mira-Bhayandar has experienced notable changes in consumer demand, infrastructure and market maturity over recent years.” He added that organised retail, dining and hospitality brands are expanding into locations where people choose to live and spend, and that the entry of premium brands reflects growing confidence in the suburb’s long-term commercial prospects. According to Sarnaik, Mira-Bhayandar is gradually emerging as a mixed-use destination that caters to residents, businesses and investors alike.
