Bollywood actor John Abraham has purchased a bungalow in Mumbai’s premium Bandra West locality for Rs 84 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by real estate consultancy firm Liases Foras.
The transaction for the freehold property, situated on St Martin Road in Bandra West, was registered on July 14, 2026. The area is among Mumbai’s most sought-after residential destinations, known for its luxury homes, celebrity residences and limited availability of standalone properties.
The acquired property includes a 1,017.60 sq metre plot along with an existing bungalow spread across a built-up area of approximately 193.12 sq metres. The premises also comprise an outhouse measuring around 31.50 sq metres. The registered value of the deal stands at Rs 84 crore.
As per the registration documents, the sellers of the property are Naushir Eruch Devitre, Fredun Eruch Devitre, Crystal Feroze Devitre and Eruch Feroze Devitre.
The high-value transaction involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 5.04 crore, while the registration charges stood at Rs 30,000 and document handling charges were recorded at Rs 2,200.
The acquisition reflects the continued demand for premium residential assets in Mumbai’s western suburbs, where limited availability of freehold land and standalone bungalows has pushed property valuations higher. Bandra West and neighbouring Juhu have remained key destinations for celebrities, developers and high-net-worth individuals seeking exclusive residential properties.
The deal comes amid a series of major luxury property transactions in the western suburbs. Recently, the promoters of Notandas Realty acquired the iconic Villa Wilson bungalow in Juhu for Rs 135 crore, following their earlier purchase of the Leela Bungalow for Rs 221 crore.
In another celebrity-linked transaction, actor Salman Khan sold a 758 sq ft apartment in Bandra West for Rs 3.5 crore. The sale was registered in July 2026, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
Meanwhile, actor Sonakshi Sinha leased her luxury Bandra West apartment to the Consulate of Kuwait for Rs 16 lakh per month, resulting in an annual rental value of nearly Rs 1.92 crore. The growing number of premium property deals highlights the strong appetite for luxury homes and scarce land parcels in Mumbai’s established western suburbs.
