The Maharashtra government has awarded a four-year catering contract worth nearly Rs 40 crore for providing food and refreshment services at the official residences of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar.

According to a Government Resolution (GR) issued by the General Administration Department, Mumbai-based Shree Sukh Sagar Hospitality Services has been appointed as the catering service provider for the period from July 20, 2026, to July 19, 2030. The contract was finalised through an e-tendering process, with six companies participating in the bidding process.

The government stated that the selected agency was chosen considering the security arrangements, confidentiality requirements and operational needs associated with high-profile official residences.

The catering services will be provided at ‘Varsha’, the official residence of the Chief Minister, along with ‘Nandanvan’, the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and ‘Devgiri’, the official residence of Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar.

As per the GR, the estimated annual expenditure for catering services across the three residences is around ₹9.85 crore. Over the complete four-year contract period, the total spending is expected to reach nearly ₹40 crore.

The approved menu includes 62 food items, with rates fixed by the state government. The price of a cup of tea has been set at Rs 23, while coffee has been priced at Rs 16. A high tea comprising pastries, sandwiches, wafers and potato vada will cost Rs 70.

The rate list also includes special buffet arrangements, with VVIP vegetarian buffet meals priced at Rs 520 per plate, VVIP non-vegetarian buffet meals at Rs 620 per plate, and combined vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffet meals at Rs 720 per plate.

The GR further states that payments will only be made according to the approved rate chart, and no additional reimbursement will be provided for food supplied above the notified prices.

Officials managing the three residences have also been permitted to arrange food from external vendors during special occasions, provided quality standards and pricing are monitored under official supervision.
