Mumbai’s luxury real estate market continues to attract some of the country’s biggest celebrities, with neighbourhoods such as Bandra West, Pali Hill, Worli, Juhu and Versova emerging as preferred destinations for premium residential investments. Offering a combination of privacy, connectivity and exclusive addresses, these locations remain among the most sought-after housing markets in the city.
Bandra West continues to be the top choice for several actors and public personalities. Areas including Bandstand, Carter Road and Pali Hill are known for their sea-facing homes, upscale developments and proximity to production houses and entertainment hubs. According to market estimates cited by News18, residential properties in Pali Hill are priced between Rs 67,000 and Rs 1.42 lakh per sq ft, while apartments overlooking the sea in Bandstand and Carter Road can command between Rs 80,000 and over Rs 1.38 lakh per sq ft.
One of the most notable recent transactions is actor Ranveer Singh’s reported purchase of a Rs 119-crore quadruplex at Sagar Resham on Bandstand. Spread across four levels with a carpet area of more than 11,000 sq ft, the residence is located near Shah Rukh Khan’s home, Mannat. Reports also state that Deepika Padukone’s company acquired a neighbouring apartment for around Rs 17.8 crore.
Independent bungalows continue to remain in demand among celebrities. Actor John Abraham has reportedly purchased a century-old bungalow on St Martin Road for Rs 84 crore after earlier acquiring a bungalow in Khar for Rs 70.83 crore.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s redeveloped family residence, Krishna Raj, in Pali Hill is estimated to be worth around Rs 250 crore and is said to feature premium amenities. Bhatt also reportedly owns a Rs 13.11-crore apartment in Juhu. Kapoor has also expanded his real estate portfolio with the reported purchase of 25.7 acres of land near Pune for Rs 16.42 crore.
Actor Kriti Sanon has reportedly invested Rs 78.2 crore in a sea-facing penthouse in Pali Hill spanning nearly 6,636 sq ft.
Worli has also become a preferred luxury destination, supported by improved connectivity through the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Mumbai Coastal Road. Premium developments such as Three Sixty West have attracted celebrities including Shahid Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna recently sold an apartment in the tower for around Rs 80 crore, reportedly earning a return of more than 100% on their investment.
Versova is also witnessing growing interest from celebrity homebuyers. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have reportedly purchased a Rs 18.29-crore apartment at Godrej Skyshore, while actor Tabu is also reported to have acquired a residence in the same project.
The concentration of celebrity investments in Bandra, Worli and Versova reflects the continued demand for sea-facing homes, limited premium housing supply and improved infrastructure, making these neighbourhoods among Mumbai’s most expensive residential markets.
