In a city where a sea view often comes with a premium, one Mumbai apartment has taken the luxury real-estate price tag to another level. A Rs 80-crore beachfront apartment in Juhu has gone viral on social media, leaving netizens stunned and reaching for their calculators.
The property was showcased on Instagram by Firoz Momin, a certified real estate advisor, who described the residence as a sprawling 5BHK bare-shell apartment with around 5,600 sq ft of carpet area on Juhu Tara Road.
The apartment offers what is among Mumbai’s most coveted real-estate features, direct beach access and uninterrupted Arabian Sea views. It also comes with a nearly 400 sq ft balcony, four covered parking spaces and the flexibility to customise the interiors from scratch.
The property is part of a project spread across a nearly 2,200 sq m freehold plot and offers luxury amenities including a swimming pool, gymnasium, banquet hall, jogging and walking tracks, landscaped gardens and open green spaces.
But it was the Rs 80-crore price tag that stole the show online.
The comments section quickly turned into a mix of disbelief and Mumbai-style humour. One user asked, “Bhai 3 janam ka EMI ho jayega kya?” Another joked that they were only Rs 20 short of buying the apartment. Others turned their attention to the likely down payment and monthly EMIs.
The viral listing also highlights the extraordinary premium commanded by prime sea-facing real estate in Mumbai, particularly in neighbourhoods such as Juhu, where limited land availability, beachfront locations and celebrity demand have pushed luxury home prices into the multi-crore bracket.
For perspective, Rs 80 crore is enough to buy several homes in many Indian cities. In Mumbai’s ultra-luxury market, however, it can apparently buy a front-row seat to the Arabian Sea.
