Singer Sonu Nigam has sold a 3,082 sq. ft. commercial property in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) for Rs 18 crore, marking a substantial increase over the price at which he acquired the office in 2023.
According to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix, the transaction was registered on September 4, 2026, with SAA Estate LLP listed as the buyer and Sonu Nigam as the seller.
The commercial unit is located on the ground floor of Trade Centre, opposite the MTNL Building in Bandra East. The property has a carpet area of 3,082 sq. ft. and was sold along with two car parking spaces.
Nigam had purchased the office in November 2023 for Rs 14.30 crore. The latest sale therefore represents a difference of Rs 3.70 crore between the acquisition and sale consideration, before taking into account taxes, transaction charges and other associated expenses.
Property Commands Over Rs 58,000 Per Sq. Ft.
The Rs 18-crore transaction works out to approximately Rs 58,404 per sq. ft. based on the recorded carpet area.
The deal also involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 1.08 crore, according to the registration documents.
The transaction comes amid sustained demand for premium commercial real estate in BKC, which has developed into one of Mumbai’s leading business districts, hosting corporate offices, financial institutions, professional services companies and high-value commercial developments.
Sonu Nigam and SAA Estate LLP could not be reached for comment.
Kailash Kher Also Sells Property in Same Building
The transaction comes days after fellow singer Kailash Kher sold another office in the same Trade Centre building.
Kher sold his 2,619 sq. ft. office on the seventh floor for Rs 10.75 crore to Lakewater Retail Private Limited. He had purchased the property for Rs 10.50 crore in November 2025, recording a Rs 25-lakh difference before transaction-related expenses.
That sale was registered on September 9, 2026, and included one car parking space. The purchaser paid ₹64.50 lakh in stamp duty.
The Trade Centre project, developed by Wadhwa Constructions, is a 10-storey commercial building. Records indicate that the project received a partial Occupation Certificate in 2008 for the upper floors and subsequently for the ground floor and part of the first floor.
BKC Remains a Celebrity Investment Destination
BKC continues to attract investors seeking premium commercial assets, including several Bollywood personalities. Its location, connectivity and concentration of major corporate and financial institutions have helped establish it as one of Mumbai’s most prominent commercial markets.
The latest transactions involving Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher in the same building highlight the premium values commanded by well-located commercial properties in the district.
For Nigam, the BKC sale represents a notable monetisation of a commercial asset acquired three years earlier, while the transaction further underscores the continued appetite for office space in Mumbai’s high-value business districts.
