Marathi actor Prajakta Dnyaneshwar Mali has sold a 473 sq ft apartment in Mumbai’s Goregaon East for Rs 1.12 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix.
The sale agreement was registered on September 10, 2026, and records a stamp duty payment of Rs 6.73 lakh. Mali could not be reached for comment.
The transaction comes less than a month after the actor purchased another apartment in Goregaon East for Rs 6.42 crore, indicating continued activity in her Mumbai property portfolio.
₹6.42-Crore Oberoi Exquisite Purchase
According to a registered sale deed dated August 12, 2026, Mali acquired an approximately 996 sq ft apartment at Oberoi Exquisite on Mohan Gokhale Road.
The property includes a car parking space, with the registered transaction working out to around Rs 64,500 per sq ft based on the carpet area. The purchase was partly financed through a Rs 5.78-crore housing loan from Indian Bank.
Mali’s latest transactions come amid a broader trend of celebrities participating in Mumbai’s residential market beyond the ultra-luxury segment.
Celebrity Deals in the Rs 1-5 Crore Range
Other recent transactions also show activity in Mumbai properties priced below Rs 5 crore.
Actor Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Shriram Madhav Nene, sold their Juhu apartment for Rs 4.40 crore earlier this year. They had acquired the property for Rs 1.94 crore, with registration data indicating appreciation of around 127%.
Actor Sanjay Mishra purchased a sea-view apartment in Madh Island for Rs 4.75 crore. Playback singer Jubin Nautiyal had previously bought a four-bedroom apartment in the same building for Rs 4.94 crore in December 2024.
The transactions mirror a wider pattern in Mumbai’s housing market. According to CRE Matrix, nearly 60% of residential sales in Mumbai during 2026 year-to-date were in the Rs 1-5 crore segment.
“Celebrity real estate activity is no longer limited to ultra-luxury homes. In 2026 YTD, nearly 60% of Mumbai’s residential sales are in the ₹1–5 crore segment, and celebrities too are looking at this broader market trend. The segment offers more options across locations and property types, making these purchases part of an investment strategy and not just a lifestyle choice,” said Abhishek Kiran Gupta, CEO, CRE Matrix.
He added that selling an existing property does not necessarily indicate an exit from real estate. “It could be portfolio rebalancing or moving capital into another asset. Celebrity transactions today show a more investment-led approach, with ticket size, location, returns and timing shaping both buying and selling decisions,” Gupta said.
Mali’s Goregaon East transactions therefore add to a growing set of celebrity property deals reflecting activity across multiple price points in Mumbai’s residential market.
