Vodafone Idea (Vi) has entered into a new 25-year agreement with ACES India Private Limited to provide 4G and 5G mobile connectivity across Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3, strengthening the digital network available to passengers across the underground corridor.
ACES India, a neutral digital infrastructure company and wholly owned subsidiary of ACES, said the agreement brings Vi into its multi-operator connectivity ecosystem being developed for the Metro line.
The 33.5-km Aqua Line-3, stretching from Aarey JVLR to Cuffe Parade, comprises 27 stations and links several major residential, commercial and transport hubs across Mumbai. The network has been designed for an ultimate capacity of more than 625 million passengers annually.
Under the agreement, Vi users will have access to mobile services across stations, concourses, platforms and underground tunnels. The infrastructure is intended to support voice calls, mobile data, entertainment, digital services and work-related applications while commuters travel along the corridor.

The partnership adds another major telecom operator to the shared network and expands the proposed future-ready digital infrastructure across Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3.
