Filmmaker Kabir Khan and television host-actor Mini Mathur have opened the doors to their Mumbai residence, offering a glimpse into a space defined by warmth, woodwork, and carefully curated antiques. The couple recently hosted Farah Khan along with her cook Dilip for an intimate home tour.
The house welcomes visitors through a classic wooden entrance that leads into a spacious, well-lit living room. The area is anchored by wooden furniture and adorned with antique décor, creating a cosy yet refined ambience. A standout feature is the accent wall, which showcases an eclectic mix of artworks and paintings, adding character and visual depth. Across the home—from the living room to the balcony and bedrooms—subtle bursts of colour through cushions, décor pieces, and wall art balance the earthy tones, evoking the charm of a quaint London cottage.
The dining space continues the aesthetic with a long wooden table paired with bamboo chairs. Elegant touches such as a chandelier, a wooden crockery unit, floral accents, and paintings lend the area a welcoming, intimate feel.
In the kitchen, the wooden theme is carried through seamlessly. Featuring wooden cabinets, designer tiles, and modern appliances, the space blends functionality with rustic appeal. An open window connecting it to the dining area enhances the sense of openness, while displayed crockery doubles as décor.
The terrace offers a contrasting yet equally striking setting. Designed almost like an art gallery, it features blue hues, silver antiques, bamboo furniture, and curated artwork. A separate section with lush plants, a Buddha statue, and Mughlai-style seating reflects the couple’s refined taste. The open-air dining setup, styled in white and blue, lends the space a serene, almost regal atmosphere.
Kabir Khan is known for films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger, while Mini Mathur has built a career as a television presenter and actor.
