Businessman Ravi Kishorilal Jhunjhunwala and his wife Sarita R Jhunjhunwala have purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Juhu for Rs 113.42 crore, according to property registration data sourced from Zapkey.
The transaction was registered on August 24, 2026, and involves a 9,863-square-foot (916.29 sq metre) apartment at Lodha Avalon on Juhu Tara Road. The property was acquired from V Hotels Ltd.
The deal translates to approximately Rs 1.15 lakh per square foot and includes five car parking spaces. The buyers paid Rs 6.81 crore as stamp duty, while the registration fee was Rs 30,000, according to the documents.
There was no immediate response from Jhunjhunwala or V Hotels regarding the transaction. The report may be updated once responses are received.
The purchase comes amid a series of high-value residential transactions in Juhu, among Mumbai’s most established luxury housing markets. The locality continues to command premium property prices due to limited land availability, proximity to the Arabian Sea, established social infrastructure and its appeal among affluent homebuyers.
Juhu is also home to several prominent film personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. The area also attracts industrialists, business families and promoters of listed companies.
Recent transactions indicate the strength of the micro-market. In July 2026, pharmaceutical entrepreneur Mehul Madhusudan Shah and his wife Niti Shah purchased a luxury apartment at Lodha Avalon for Rs 106.52 crore.
Earlier this year, the Leela bungalow in Juhu changed hands for Rs 221 crore, ranking among the year’s notable luxury property deals.
Developer interest in Juhu is also growing. Embassy Developments announced plans in January to invest $495 million, or around Rs 4,100 crore, across three luxury residential projects in Mumbai, including one in Juhu. The projects are estimated to generate $1.32 billion in revenue upon completion.
The latest Jhunjhunwala purchase further highlights the sustained demand and premium pricing commanded by Mumbai’s luxury residential market, particularly in sought-after locations such as Juhu.
