NAREDCO Maharashtra is targeting investment commitments of more than Rs 10,000 crore in India’s real estate sector as it prepares to host the Real Estate and Infrastructure Investors’ Summit 2026 (REIIS 2026) in Mumbai on September 3.

Being held under the theme ‘RE-Defining India’s Growth Story,’ the flagship summit aims to facilitate greater foreign and domestic institutional investment in Indian real estate while bringing together policymakers, investors, financial institutions and technology companies.

A key announcement at the event will be the proposed launch of an International Business and Finance Center (IBFC) in Nagpur, envisioned as a new regional financial hub aimed at broadening economic activity across Maharashtra.

Sanjay Meena IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, NMRDA, said, “As NMRDA, our focus is to develop Naveen Nagpur with quality infrastructure, efficient governance and a strong investment environment, strengthening Nagpur’s position as a major economic destination in Central India.”

The summit will also feature the release of an exclusive Mumbai redevelopment report by JLL India, focusing on the evolving redevelopment landscape in the city.

NAREDCO Maharashtra said Maharashtra’s real estate sector is entering a significant growth phase, supported by projects such as Mumbai 3.0, transit-oriented development corridors and large-scale urban redevelopment. Growing interest from institutional investors in markets including Japan, South Korea and the Middle East is expected to contribute to the state’s broader investment ambitions.

REIIS 2026 will bring together developers, policymakers, global and domestic investors, banking executives, AI and proptech companies and other industry stakeholders. Discussions will focus on capital flows, urbanisation, alternative financing, cross-border expansion, technology adoption and improving liquidity in real estate markets.

The day-long programme will feature a power breakfast on ‘Mumbai 3.0: The Innovation City’, an AI and Proptech Pavilion and multiple panel discussions.

Several prominent business and government leaders are expected to participate, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Pranav Adani, Gautam Singhania, Paritosh Kashyap, Kaku Nakhate, Ashutosh Singh, Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, Sanjay Meena, Maninder Cheema and Kaustubh Dhavse, among others.

Kamlesh Thakur, President, NAREDCO Maharashtra, said, “Under the theme ‘RE-Defining India’s Growth Story,’ the summit will bring together developers, venture capital and institutional investors to unlock sustainable capital flows, promote proptech adoption and shape actionable growth opportunities for the region’s evolving built environment.”

The summit is expected to serve as a platform for identifying investment opportunities and strengthening partnerships that could support India’s next phase of real estate and infrastructure growth.
