Considering the traffic congestion in Andheri (East), the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to open two lanes of Gopal Krishna Gokhale Bridge by May 31
However, the civic body will be able to work on the new bridge only after the railway administration demolishes it by February. Meanwhile, the railway approved the design of this bridge on Tuesday, January 31. The BMC is pre-fabricating the structure, which will be brought from the workshop for final assembling and launching of girders at the site
