Mumbai Metro lines 2A and 7 record 100 million riders combined

Since opening, the elevated Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 have seen a total of 100 million riders. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which is in charge of running and maintaining these metro lines, claims that the 100 million ridership threshold shows how popular these services are becoming even though they have only been available for two years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened lines 2A and 7 of the Mumbai Metro in January 2023. Mumbai Metro Line 2A is an elevated 18.6 km route with 17 stops that links Dahisar East to DN Nagar in Andheri West. It connects the Western, Central, and Northern suburbs of Mumbai.
