In the past two years, more than 400 developers from Maharashtra—mostly from Pune and Mumbai—have chosen to e-register the first sale of properties from their own offices. “This has helped in reducing footfall at the sub registrar’s offices for new properties, and we are encouraging more developers to opt for this facility,” a property registration official stated.
According to information provided by the registration department, the developer’s offices have registered close to 15,280 documents in the past year. According to officials who spoke with TOI, they anticipate an increase in the numbers over the course of the next two months, with an additional 300 developers in the state probably registering online.
