The Maharashtra government recently revealed an updated schedule for finishing the first phase of Mumbai Metro 3. The project’s original completion date of September 2024 has been pushed back to December 2024. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde presided over the state cabinet meeting when this decision was made, according to a story published by Mumbai Now.
Mumbai Metro 3’s first phase runs from Bandra Kurla Complex to SEEPZ (Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone). The underground portion of the project, which is 33.5 kilometers long and has 26 underground stations, is scheduled to begin operations in July of this year. The COVID-19 epidemic caused delays in the project’s original schedule.
