CIDCO, Adani Group Review Navi Mumbai Airport Progress Before June Inauguration

The proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has been examined by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). It is anticipated that this new airport will open in June of this year.

The meeting, which was presided over by CIDCO vice chairman and managing director Vijay Singh and attended by all relevant parties, including Director Jeet Adani of Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. and other senior executives of the company, concentrated on the operational preparedness of the airport as it approaches its first phase of operations.

According to the Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL), the special purpose organisation in charge of building the airport, all construction has been finished, and the procedure for acquiring the DGCA Aerodrome License and the BCAS Security Clearance has been completed. In order to guarantee smooth operations, ORAT (Operation Readiness and Transfer) testing is also in progress.

Numerous airlines have sought slots at the new airport, according to the NMIAL, and the DGCA committee will shortly finalise the slots. Singhal also went over the planning for connection to give the airport landslide access during the discussion. It instructed NHAI and all partners involved to finish the task before the planned inauguration date.
