Mumbai One has surpassed the 10 million mark in ticket bookings within about 10 months of its launch, highlighting the growing use of integrated digital ticketing across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The platform now brings 11 public transport services together through a single interface.
The app has recorded approximately 0.816 million downloads, with Android users accounting for 74 per cent of installations and iOS users making up the remaining 26 per cent. Mumbai One allows commuters to access ticketing services for Metro, suburban trains, Monorail and municipal bus networks, offering a unified digital travel platform.
Metro services have generated the majority of bookings on the application. Metro Lines 2A, 7, 2B and 9 collectively recorded 3,010,554 tickets. Metro Line 1 contributed another 2,847,682 bookings, while Metro Line 3 registered 2,430,370. Combined, these Metro services accounted for 8,288,606 tickets, or nearly 80 per cent of all transactions recorded on the platform.
The suburban railway network contributed 1,570,906 bookings through Mumbai One. Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 recorded 338,718 tickets, while the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) network registered 153,323 bookings.
Other municipal transport systems also contributed to the platform’s overall usage. Thane Municipal Transport recorded 33,706 tickets, followed by Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport with 16,698, Mira Bhayandar Municipal Transport with 7,553 and Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Transport with 2,314 bookings.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister said the milestone reflects increasing public acceptance of unified digital ticketing. Integrating suburban railways, Metro services and buses on one platform, he noted, could support the broader goal of seamless connectivity across the MMR.
The Deputy Chief Minister and MMRDA chairman described the achievement as a strong indication of commuter confidence in interoperable transport systems. The MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner credited passenger adoption and said efforts would continue to make the platform more seamless and user-friendly.
With several new Metro corridors expected to become operational, Mumbai One could play an increasingly important role in connecting commuters across Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhayandar, Navi Mumbai and other parts of the region.
