The BMC has planned to resurface damaged patches of roads in the city ahead of the monsoon, but contractors of the concreting project have to foot the bill.The resurfacing work will include roads that were supposed to be repaired under the nearly Rs 6,000-crore road concreting project
BMC officials said tender clauses stated that the contractors were expected to maintain all roads for which work orders are issued. But to ensure that motorists do not suffer due to the dispute between the contractor and the BMC, the BMC has decided to resurface such roads at the contractor’s cost
