Since the aforementioned parcels are only to be transferred to the Dharavi Redevelopment Project/Slum Rehabilitation Authority (DRP/SRA) of the state government’s housing department, the recent accusations made by honorable member of parliament Varsha Gaikwad against the Adani Group regarding the allotment of land for the rehabilitation of Dharavikars within Mumbai are completely untrue and targeted.
The Adani Group wants to turn Asia’s largest informal settlement into a thriving hub of urban renewal by building tenements, housing, and commercial spaces through its joint venture company, Dharavi Redevelopment Project Private Ltd (DRPPL), with the Maharashtra government as a part of it. After a fair and independent bidding procedure, the Adani Group will hand over the completed projects to DRP/SRA of the Maharashtra government to allocate in accordance with survey findings.
