The development plan road and recreational ground (RG) plot in Kandivali have been long-pending issues. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has denied Growels 101 Mall’s request to realign the road. The development plan (DP) department has denied the mall’s request for a road realignment, despite the BMC’s persistent requests for the mall authorities to turn over the land parcels.
The BMC has been seeking for more than 13 years that the Growels 101 Mall in Kandivali (E) turn over an RG plot and DP road that were proposed under the DP 1991 and 2034 in the area around the mall. Years of correspondence between the BMC departments and the mall administration, however, have been in futile since the mall has failed to turn over the aforementioned land parcels to the civic body. The DP department recently sent notices to the mall, which were also covered by The Free Press Journal.
