Mumbai (Metro Rail News): Package CA-207’s technical bids were opened on June 25, 2024 by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The Dongri Depot will be built as part of this package on the Mumbai Metro’s Red Line. Three companies have offered to complete this package’s work.
Package CA-207 calls for the construction of the Dongri Depot and Workshop on 41.36 hectares of land in northwest Mumbai. The whole Red Line, which comprises Lines 9 through 7 and Line 7A, will be serviced by BEML trains, which will be housed and maintained in this facility. Dongri, Mira Bhayandar, Dahisar East, Gundavali, and CSIA Terminal 2 are connected by these lines.
