With the third batch of real estate agents preparing for the online examination conducted by the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) on November 22, the Mumbai metropolitan region is set to welcome a steady stream of MahaRERA-certified agents. A total of 5,592 candidates have completed the required preliminary training, making them eligible for the upcoming examination, which will be held at 19 centers across the state.
These agents serve as vital intermediaries between home buyers and developers, providing essential information to potential clients. Recognizing their critical role, MahaRERA stresses the importance of agents being knowledgeable about the key provisions of the RERA Act.
So far, 3,217 candidates have successfully passed the examination, which has been conducted twice this year. Initially, approximately 45,000 agents were registered in the state, but the current active workforce stands at 32,000, as 13,000 agents have not renewed their certification.
