Dharavi redevelopment project has been implemented jointly by the state government-owned Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) and Dharavi Redevelopment Project Private Limited (DRPPL) of Adani Group.
Dharavi redevelopment project survey has gained pace after the authorities completed the survey for 8,500 houses, while roughly 21,000 constructions have been given survey numbers. On the other side, negative political campaigning is going on regarding this redevelopment project, but locals of Dharavi are holding an agitation in support of the project.
A total of 30 teams has done the Dharavi redevelopment project survey regardless of unfavourable weather, and support from the residents who will be getting developed houses have increased for this survey. As per the residents, there have not been proper toilets there for years and in monsoon water accumulates in every house.
The residents have showed their support for the survey so that it will be clear who will get the house exactly where and how. According to some sources, eligible beneficiaries will get 350 sq. ft of houses and the ineligible will get 300 sq. ft houses.
