Eastern Suburbs Shine as a Top Real Estate Investment Hub

Significant improvements in infrastructure and communication have made Mumbai’s Eastern Suburbs one of the most sought-after investment destinations in the city. Real estate executives emphasise how these changes are revolutionary and have attracted both investors and homebuyers to the area.

The eastern suburbs are strategically located, according to Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of NAREDCO, who also highlights the open land availability, affordability, and accessibility to important growing areas like MMR, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. He points to the arrival of numerous well-known developers who are tackling the growing demand by working on rehabilitation and greenfield projects. These elements, according to Hiranandani, point to a positive change in Mumbai’s urban landscape and establish the eastern suburbs as a major area for investment with enormous growth potential.

Sheth Realty’s chairman and managing director, Chintan Sheth, notes that although the Western suburbs have historically been the epicentre of development, attention is increasingly turning to the Eastern suburbs because of their superior social infrastructure and good connections. He draws attention to places where demand is rising, such as Sion and Chembur. According to Sheth, the Eastern suburbs of Mumbai present great prospects for investors and homeowners, offering a high standard of living and substantial growth potential as the city continues to solidify its position as a major global financial centre.

The chairman and managing director of Arkade Developers, Amit Jain, emphasises how better connectivity affects the area’s allure. He highlights improvements like the forthcoming monorail extension, the suburban train, and Metro Line 1, which offer easy access to key business hubs such as BKC, Powai, and Seepz Economic Zone.

Jain adds that the location is very appealing to investors and homeowners due to its proximity to the Eastern Freeway and Eastern Express Highway. He emphasises the well-rounded selection of options, which range from reasonably priced residences to high-end projects by top national developers, as well as the expected expansion brought about by the future Navi Mumbai International Airport and the developing commercial sector along the Thane-Belapur belt.

Tridhaatu Realty’s managing director and co-founder, Govind Krishnan Muthukumar, talks about how ongoing infrastructure improvements have contributed to the Eastern Suburbs’ transformation. He highlights the region’s alluring fusion of modern living and cultural heritage, which makes it a great place to invest in real estate.

The CEO of Atmosphere Living, Sandeep Ahuja, emphasises the extensive upgrades to the region’s connectivity and infrastructure. He cites innovations that simplify daily travel and increase demand for real estate, like as the Thane-Dombivli Link Road and growing metro lines. According to Ahuja, the area’s growing self-sufficiency, along with its excellent schools, hospitals, and lifestyle amenities, makes it a more desirable place to live.
