According to market sources who spoke to HT, Shahrukh Khan’s flat with a view of the sea at the Shree Amirt CHSL building on Carter Road in Mumbai is anticipated to undergo renovations.
Market sources claim that Shahrukh is the owner of a terrace flat in Carter Road’s Shree Amrit CHSL.
The land is more than 4,000 square meters, and it has three wings that take up more than 45,000 square feet of MOFA (The Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion, Construction, Sale, Management, and Transfer) Act, 1963) carpet area, according to a tender document that the organisation released in July 2024.
According to sources who spoke to HT, the building was built in the 1980s on the collector’s leasehold property, and the society’s members are currently negotiating with several real estate developers to redevelop their organisation.
It’s one of the few structures on Carter Road that faces the ocean. Residents of the society aspire to receive twice as much space as they now have. Even 110% to 120% more space has been offered, according to a developer who took part in the competition but asked not to be identified.
Some developers claim that the cost of sea-facing residences on Carter Road is approximately Rs 1 lakh per square foot, while it might reach Rs 1.30 lakh per square foot.
Oberoi Realty, a listed real estate company based in Mumbai, said in July 2024 that it has signed a contract to develop and refurbish land on Carter Road in the Bandra (West) neighbourhood, totalling about 2576 square meters.
