An estimated Rs 500 crore would be spent on renovating Mumbai’s well-known Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Thursday that the temple’s construction plan includes amenities for Ganesh worshippers.
Additionally, he examined six Prabhadevi redevelopment projects. Shinde added that developers would be replaced if they had cancelled redevelopment projects and neglected to compensate displaced people for their rent. If required, the laws and restrictions will be altered to give the general public access to reasonably priced and roomy dwellings.
He went on to say that such recommendations would be presented to the cabinet after talks with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The SRA, MHADA, MIDC, MMRDA, CIDCO, and BMC will coordinate to carry out a collective redevelopment plan. “Shinde said.”
“Basic amenities like gardens, healthcare facilities, open spaces, and more would be made available through this collective redevelopment,” Shinde continued. Through the MHADA, the government will shortly implement a housing policy that will provide cheap housing and rental options for working women, seniors, students, and millworkers.
