The Tower 2 project at Nesco Centre is a significant step forward for Nesco as it expands into the commercial and hospitality sectors. This enormous project, which will span an amazing 5.01 million square feet, will include a state-of-the-art IT Park with first-rate office spaces intended to promote creativity and teamwork. In order to meet Mumbai’s increasing demand for upscale lodging, the project would also include 172 serviced apartments and a 732-room and suite high-end hotel to complement the corporate centre.
A key highlight of the development is its strong focus on sustainability. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Aedas, Tower 2 will incorporate eco-friendly building practices and sustainable construction methods. In an era where environmentally conscious development is gaining prominence, Nesco’s commitment to green initiatives aligns with India’s growing emphasis on zero net carbon and sustainable urban planning.
Beyond its architectural and environmental impact, the project is set to generate approximately 24,500 direct jobs, significantly boosting employment opportunities in the region. This large-scale job creation, combined with Nesco’s focus on sustainable infrastructure, underscores its role in shaping Mumbai’s future as a business and lifestyle hub. With corporate transparency being a crucial factor in real estate today, Nesco has actively engaged with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Having secured the Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the company is set to commence construction in the third quarter of FY 2025–26, with funding primarily drawn from internal accruals.
The Tower 2 project also strengthens Nesco’s other business segments, including exhibitions, hospitality, and manufacturing. The company’s IT Parks division, contributing 41% of its revenue, is poised for further expansion, while the Bombay Exhibition Center—one of India’s largest private exhibition venues—continues to be a major revenue driver, accounting for 27% of overall earnings.
Tower 2 is more than just another project in Nesco’s portfolio; it is a declaration of the company’s dedication to urban change and sustainable growth. Historic undertakings like this will be crucial in determining Mumbai’s future development as the city’s business environment changes.
