Cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma have expanded their luxury real estate portfolio with the purchase of a premium apartment in Mumbai’s Versova. According to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com, the couple has acquired a 2,644 sq ft apartment for Rs 18.29 crore in the Godrej Skyshore project developed by Godrej Properties.
The apartment is located on a higher floor of the residential tower in Versova, Andheri West. The property transaction, registered on July 21, 2026, includes an exclusive area of 316 sq ft and comes with three car parking spaces. The deal involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 1.09 crore, while registration charges stood at Rs 30,000, according to registration records.
Based on the transaction value and carpet area, the property purchase works out to approximately Rs 69,159 per sq ft, highlighting the continued demand for premium residences in Mumbai’s western suburbs.
Versova has emerged as one of the city’s prominent luxury residential destinations, attracting celebrities, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals due to its proximity to Mumbai’s entertainment hubs, lifestyle infrastructure and upcoming connectivity improvements, including the proposed Mumbai Coastal Road North project.

Real estate experts believe improved infrastructure connectivity could further boost demand across western suburban markets, including Bandra, Khar, Santacruz, Juhu, Andheri, Versova, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar, Mira Road and Bhayandar. Better access to South Mumbai and major commercial districts is expected to enhance the attractiveness of these locations for both buyers and developers.
The latest purchase adds to Kohli and Sharma’s growing portfolio of luxury properties. The couple had earlier been linked with a sea-facing apartment in Worli, reportedly purchased in 2016 for Rs 34 crore. The four-bedroom residence, spread across 7,171 sq ft on the 35th floor, later saw reports of the booking being cancelled.
In January 2026, the couple also purchased land in Alibaug’s Zirad village near Awas Beach for around Rs 37.86 crore. The acquisition involved two adjoining plots spread across approximately 21,010 sq metres, according to property documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
The couple had also purchased an eight-acre plot in Alibaug in 2022 for around Rs 19 crore, where they developed a luxury villa featuring amenities such as a temperature-controlled pool, customised kitchen, jacuzzi, garden area, covered parking and staff quarters.
Celebrity investments in premium housing projects often draw attention to emerging luxury markets and contribute to buyer confidence in branded residential developments. The latest Versova purchase further underlines the growing appeal of Mumbai’s high-end residential segment among prominent personalities.
