With 99.5% of the construction at the Aarey depot finished, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) is ready for Metro 3’s Phase 1 operations to begin. The Metro line 3 will operate trains between Aarey and Bandra-Kurla complex in order to supervise and evaluate crucial elements of the commissioning and trials.
Only small finishing touches, testing and trials are still required, according to the authorities. The operations and control room, however, is not anticipated to be completely operational for phase 1, even though the depot is ready. As a result, the train movements will be overseen by a backup operations and control centre located in Bandra-Kurla Complex.
