MMRDA services to commence before monsoon, trials have began for new rakes

Last month, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) began testing a new monorail rake. The trials started last week, evaluating the monorail’s functionality in various scenarios. The main goals are to find and fix any issues, to make sure safety regulations are followed and maximise its functionality.

The new mono train’s braking mechanism is being tested at night. Production of more rakes will start in response to the trial’s outcomes. An official of MMRDA has stated that the new mono rakes trial period will end by next week.
