“Infrastructure development in Mumbai will lead to socio-economic transformation,” said BMC Commissioner

Bhushan Gagrani, a state-appointed administrator and commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), concluded his two-month term this week. He stated on Tuesday that the maximum socio-economic transformation of the city will follow from the visual transformation Mumbai is experiencing as a result of its infrastructure development.

“Many concerns were raised regarding the Mumbai-Pune highway project in many areas when it was first conceived. But now, Pune has become one of India’s leading automotive and IT cities, and the expressway that has made expansion possible has been a crucial element in Pune’s progress. Similar to this, the infrastructure projects we are working on now will have an effect on Mumbai’s socioeconomic situation, according to Gagrani.
