According to sources, traffic will begin to flow on the second phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project, which connects Worli and Marine Drive, on June 10. In addition, on May 28, authorities examined the southbound tunnel at Marine Drive, which was a part of the first phase that was opened in March, in order to resolve concerns about leaks at two or three expansion joints.
According to reports, polymer grouting will be used to seal the leaks. It is also recommended that this type of polymer material be used in all 25 of the tunnel’s joints to stop further seepage, particularly during the monsoon season. It is also mentioned that there won’t be any traffic disruptions as a result of the repairs, so drivers won’t have any trouble. This is a component of the attempts to preserve the integrity and usability of the coastal road.
