Due to technical difficulties following the cutting of a cable at the Borivali station in Mumbai, local train services on the Western Railway network were interrupted on Monday, according to officials.
A number of suburban services were canceled, and travelers reported that trains were arriving late on the itinerary. Officials say that the issue, which started at around two in the morning, was fixed eleven hours later. According to them, the Western Railway (WR) network’s delayed local train services caused a surge in passenger demand, prompting the operation of additional Metro services.
